photoproject dedicated to 80th birth anniversary of German choreographer Pina Bausch
special for coda conteporary dance online-media
Spelling is one of the methods that Pina Bausch used in her work. The dancer of the Wuppertal Dance Theater Andrei Berezin said that the choreographer sometimes asked her artists to draw the letters of the word-key with the body. This method became the starting point for the photoproject.

The letters here are, on the one hand, the letters of Pina's name, which have already been firmly imprinted on the pages of the history of contemporary dance.

On the other hand, these are the performances of the choreographer, which are cited in photographs.

«Pina. Spelled» is not an attempt to copy Pina. This is an attempt to become closer to her work. Feel it and let it pass through yourself.
